Virtual Aurora Borealis tour in Bangkok

sciplanet14It’s WEEKEND. Yeyyy. I’ve been to Science centre for Education or ‘Thong  Fah Jum Long’. You can either go there by car or sky train. (No parking fee). I arrived at 10.00am and got show time at 12.00pm! (the earliest one is at 11.00am).

There’re 3 buildings. The first one holds minerals exhibition. The second one is a planetarium room. (They just got the brandnew slide projector this year.) And the last one is mini aquarium.

The highlight is in the planetarium room which presents astronomy. Special session in this month is Aurora documentary. The guy had spent 7 months and recorded the motion of Aurora in many spots near North Pole. The documentary clearly explains how the aurora light forms itself, why human’s eyes cannot see some of its colours and so on..

The ticket costs almost nothing! only 30 Baht for adults. Hurry and get your ticket before your friends spoil you about the documentary!

Current exhibition: How aurora light exists.
